History
The Vision of Electric Storm Youth was born when Marion Peskett went to a New Wine Christian Festival in the summer of 2006. After attending a seminar on a Youth facility which had been recently opened in Essex, Legacy XS, she left inspired to attempt a similar project in her home village of Lancing.
Marion realised that the Freshbrook School Site in Lancing was to become completely vacant in June 2009 and would be an ideal location for the new centre.
Work begun and has continued at a breath taking pace with the project starting officially on August 1st 2007. The Charity is now fully formed and registered, with Tim Loughton (MP) as the patron and a strong team of Directors. People at Local, District and County Council levels have been lobbied and consulted with. Mark Dunn, WSCC Cabinet Member for Children and Young People's Services, has pledged his complete endorsement and support. A business plan and strategic plans has been drawn up and a formal application for intent has been submitted to Adur District Council.
The rest of the story is being written as we pursue this dream with blood, sweat and tears attempting to help people see the importance of this project.
